CHURCH SECURITY TEAM CERTIFICATION

Service Description

• Certification program for designated church security team members. • Promote disciplined, safety-centered, legally responsible service while supporting a welcoming worship environment. • Course designed for defensively trained, safety-conscious protectors, who have completed intermediate or defensive-handgun training and maintained their skills. • Requires proven safe handling, reliable marksmanship, sound judgment, and consistent compliance with range commands. • Refines presentation, accuracy at varied distances, recoil management, one-handed operation, reloads, malfunction clearance, movement, use of cover, and performance under time and decision-making pressure. • Covers prevention, observation, communication, de-escalation, emergency coordination, medical response, and team organization. • Addresses defensive firearm use only when authorized by church policy and applicable law. • Provides training and proficiency certification, not a law-enforcement credential. • Requires the church leadership to review its security plan and provide qualification standards before certification. • Certification requires participants to follow all federal, state, and local laws, church policies, instructor directions, and range rules.
