The Basic Handgun course teaches the new gun owner the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and safely using a defensive handgun. In this course you will learn: The 4 rules of safe gun handling, components of a handgun, loading and unloading magazines, proper gun grip, shooting stance, loading and unloading a handgun, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, hold control, unholstering and holstering techniques, firing technique, follow through, types of handguns, types of ammunition, selecting a personal handgun, gun maintenance, defensive gear.
